Play Therapy

"Play Therapy is based upon the fact that play is the child's natural medium of self-expression." Virginia Axline
The Play Therapy Toolkit
Where will the Play Therapy take place?
We have our own playroom where sessions will take place weekly in a confidential space. Our sessions last 45 minutes and there is free parking and toilets available.
Scheduled meetings with the child's parents or carers will take place to ensure a child-centred approach. All parties are offered support and advice. Play therapy is a longer term therapy, for long term change-due to this we hold a minimum of 12 sessions.
Our Therapists
Our Play Therapists are registered practitioners of Play Therapy UK (PTUK) and adhere to their ethical standards and practices.
They specialise in supporting children who have suffered trauma and/or loss, who struggle with emotional regulation, suffer with low self-esteem or have difficulties with anxiety. They work with children aged 4-12 years old.
Our Play Therapists are accredited by the Professional Standards Authority, have an advanced DBS, insurance and are registered with ICO to ensure accurate and legal standards with GDPR.
We accept referrals from schools, parents & carers, social workers, charities and organisations. Please contact us to discuss your needs and for further information including our session fees.
Unfortunately, due to the building we do not have disabled access.
Review - Facebook
'Would recommend 100%. From being dubious about how play therapy would help, I now tell my friends about this. A very big thank you...not only did my son enjoy the sessions and look forward to them each week, there has been a positive change in so much...confidence, self belief etc. Thank you as it's made the world of difference.'
